The Geneology Of Adam — Genesis 5
In Genesis Chapter Five we studied the family tree of Adam. Now I will
cover a few things to note about Chapter Five.
First of all, neither Cain nor Abel appear in Adam’s family tree.
Now you have already learned who Cain’s father really was, but
what about Abel? Well the answer to that is in ancient times
children who died without having children or heirs of their own were
never listed in a persons family tree! This was an ancient Hebrew
tradition.
Secondly, again, note the similar Names in both Adam’s and
Cain’s family histories!
Adam’s Family Cain’s Family
Enosh Enoch
Methuselah Methusjael
Lamech Lamech
Again, Note satan’s trade mark, copying God’s children’s Names,
and confusing many people by doing so, as we learned last week!
